One of the most common questions that I've been getting lately, especially in the aftermath of the series on politics, is concern about how exactly we engage in politics given that we are stuck in the political context of our time and place. It's been suggested by different people that "The only way to win is not to play". This is true in many contexts, so is it true in politics? Is the answer to avoid voting all together, since we don't want to be complicit with evil?
The other question I get is more practical: there are way too many books and articles to read and not everybody has the same opinion on all of them. How do non-scholars (or even scholars, for that matter) interact with these things in a profitable way?
There's a lot to say on all of these topics but I think modern people are so plagued by anxiety and stress that I chose today to focus on humble answers related to being at peace. Hope you enjoy!
